I’m a fan of the side effect and side hustle, but some part of me has been pining for a Tom Bihn crossbody with softer lines. A more definitive purse, if you will. This is definitely it!! I was surprised how small it is - the measurements are accurate but the pics of people wearing it make it look bigger somehow. The pic with the bag and the items around it is a good gauge, but that is not a very tall travel mug. That said it definitely is deceptive - spacious with great use of the space, more depth at the bottom and the pockets don’t go all the way down which helps you spread things out across the vertical space if you don’t have tall things to carry. I also appreciate that if there is less stuff in it, the bag compresses down and doesn’t look empty, if that makes sense. I was going to beg for an outside slip pocket in a future version, then I remembered the slip pocket on the Hustle tends to gap out a lot and doesn’t feel so secure to drop my phone in while shopping. Maybe on this slimmer style that wouldn’t be an issue? Anyway the straight across zipper is really accessible so I think it’ll be fine to just put the phone in the main area. I love it. I got the black ballistic, which I imagine might give it a little more structure than the other fabrics?

I am new here. I like to travel. Since February I have developed an addiction to these amazing bags. It doesn’t help that this purple color is one of the most beautiful colors that exists. I’ve had a Tom Bihn box delivered to my house about once a week. Last week we spent 5 days at Disney World and 3 days aboard the Disney Wish. My navy blue and wisteria Synik 30 was stuffed with way too much stuff yet it fit snuggly under the middle Southwest seat in front of me. All of my wisteria accessories worked perfectly. I was able to put my Rogue Sacoche in the bottom pocket of my backpack for the flight. Later while boarding the cruise, I was able to use this light weight purse to hold our passports, sunglasses, wallet, hand sanitizer, kleenex pack and my 16 ounce Nalgene waterbottle. It held everything yet was extremely light weight. The wider strap was comfortable and very adjustable. The only thing I would change with this amazing little bag would be to add a top grab handle of some sort and a zippered pocket on the back for a cellphone.

I just got my rogue sacoche, but I am really loving it so far!
This is just a quick sample pack out of some things I might carry on my walks, although I would usually leave the Opinel and my work phone behind and instead carry an extra notebook and winter accessories. The RS is also perfect for a 5.5 x 8.5 strathmore sketchbook and some art supplies 🙂

I added a nylon handle to the top. Otherwise it was great. I love the 4 o-rings inside. Perhaps one o-ring to the outside side seam, near the zipper, would be nice for adding my yarn stuff sack...

I hesitated to buy this bag. I really love an open back pocket and own almost every crossbody option Tom Bihn makes, so I was prepared to be underwhelmed by this unstructured simply bag, but I was so, so wrong.
This bag has so much going for it. It has everything it needs and nothing more. It’s light and molds to the body and doesn’t tend to sway and knock about while wearing like some of the more structured options. There are not only O-rings above each open top pocket inside, there’s two more O-rings on the exterior side of the bag as well. I attached my keys to one and a cubelet to the other. Above one of the O-rings positioned above ann inner pocket I attached my Tom Bihn Wallet. The bag has plenty of room for last minute additions like a Kindle, a paperback, reusable grocery bags, a light jacket, or a beverage. It really is the ideal bag for a minimalist with just a touch more room just in case. The bag also looks great when there’s barely anything in it and just as great when it’s stuffed to the gills. The shape is just so versatile. I’m in love and I see now why so many people buy more than one in different colors. So useful! The only thing that would make it better is for Cerise to come back so I can have a bright pink bag too. 💕
