TLDR

The Packing Cube Shoulder Bag is a dual-purpose bag. When you're on the way to your destination, use it to organize and pack your clothing inside your larger travel bag. Once you arrive, repack the Cube and carry it as a shoulder bag by adding a shoulder strap.

Full Description

Use the Packing Cube Shoulder Bag like any other TOM BIHN travel cube. Once you arrive at your destination, attach a shoulder strap and pack your daily essentials.

Main Compartment With 2 O-rings

When you're packing for your trip, use the Cube to organize and pack your clothing inside the Aeronaut, Tri-Star, or Western Flyer. When you want to use the bag for daily use, the Packing Cube Shoulder Bag has enough space for a water bottle or light jacket. You can also attach a Key Strap on one of the O-rings and a Clear Organizer Wallet on the other.

Front Pocket With 1 O-ring

The front pocket has enough space for your phone and other daily essentials. There's also an O-ring included to attach a pouch like the Clear Organizer Pouch, Double Organizer Pouch, or Ghost Whale Organizer Pouch.

What's Optional

Most folks who use our bags have at least one shoulder strap made by us, and thus we don't include a shoulder strap with the Packing Cube Shoulder Bag. If you would like a second shoulder strap for the Packing Cube Shoulder Bag, or simply a lighter shoulder strap, choose the optional 1" Shoulder Strap.

    Perfect Size

    The PCSB is the perfect size for packing and then using it as a travel purse on arrival. It would be nice to see some slip pockets in the back, similar to Rogue but the O rings inside help for pouch tethering.

    packing cube shoulder bag -- best bag ever!

    It's light, it's roomy without being too big --- it even fits my iPad! and the Acai halcyon is such a nice change fro boring black, but can still look dressy.

    A surprise hero

    I bought one of these with a Techonaut 35L at a time when all other large packing cubes were out of stock. It was an impulse purchase, but has ended up being my EDC for shorter walks and daytrips when traveling with the Techonaut. If packed carefully and with a little finesse, it fits in the bottom pocket of the Techonaut, then can pop out as your seat bag on a plane. On the way home, when stuff has magically expanded, it can be carried as the second personal item. I paired it with the Absolute Shoulder Strap, which is absolute overkill for this bag, but the nonslip pad makes it brilliant for carrying around museums and on crowded public transportation where a bag swinging about could cause chaos. The lack of built in organization means you probably want at least a standard lil packing cube to keep the little things together, but also means it feels like it’s roomier than it is, and unplanned purchases can still fit into what you thought was an already full bag.
