This is my first TB bag. After a solid week of review reading and reddit trolling I pulled the trigger on this backpack, paired with a Freudian Slip S19/S22. I'll be honest: When I first opened up the box I was a bit underwhelmed. I thought, "Nice one, you've spent $120 on yet another frumpy, shapeless little backpack. I'll use it a few times and add it to the collection forming in the back of my closet." I was wrong.
I've been using the backpack for about a week. I take it everywhere. I love it.
I work full-time in sales and take night classes at the university. I typically pack the bag up with my iPad, a textbook, a couple of notebooks, a pencil case and a little snack, along with my EDC items (pocket knife, sunglasses, point and shoot camera, light jacket, a mini toiletry kit and whatever book I am currently reading.) It all fits, albeit it a little tight depending on the weight of the jacket and thickness of the textbook.
The Freudian Slip is a little bit of genius. I've never been great at organizing my things (My new friend Tom is helping with that) but this is the most clever solution I've seen yet, and I think I will actually use it. It hold my Ipad, chargers, notebooks and most of the EDC items mentioned before. Everything has it's own little spot and pulling the thing all the way out of the bag is much more intuitive than rummaging through a fully packed bag trying to coax the desired item out of it's tight little nesting place.
I would highly recommend…
