    Great successor/partner to a 1990s Bihn bag

    I still actively use a Bihn backpack I bought in the 1990s. It has 2 main compartments rather than 1 larger single compartment. As I have acquired use cases for a single large main compartment, I got this Technonaut. This bag is awesome, full stop.

    So few non-digital objects are improved over time. Modern furniture is a mess. I have to replace appliances every few years. Even other luggage bags- I had to get the zippers reworked on some non-Bihn duffles I bought only a few years ago. The Technonaut is a real improvement on the older bag which itself still works well even 30 years later. Amazing.

    So glad I splurged

    I have numerous TB bags, too many to list. I purchased this to see if it would be lighter than my Aeronaut 45 which I’ve had for many years, and has taken me on lots of multi day bicycle tours.

    No issues at all with the Aeronaut but the ballistic fabric weight and heavier zippers were getting a bit much for my 66 year old body. Also, the backpack straps can sometimes be difficult to attach when it’s time for use.

    I’m in love with the Spectron Techonaut 45. It’s lighter, has just enough outside pockets and all are useful.

    The zippers are a breeze to use and the handles and backpack straps feel so much better than my old bag.

    I’m only 5’4 and was afraid that it would be too big but no worries at all. The straps have enough adjustment to allow for a comfortable carry. Must reiterate the comfort factor on the handles and straps.

    While I was hesitant to purchase this in fear of duplication of current bags, so glad I splurged. It’s a game changer for me.

    It holds cycling clothes, shoes, pedals and after bike clothing for a week tour with room for souvenirs on the return!

    My husband will be purchasing one as soon as he figures out his favorite color scheme. As for me, the Spectron black was the perfect choice.

    It's a mystery...

    ...how, when first unpacked, the T45 looked less in size than I expected. As I packed it, I found more than enough space to pack a week's worth of clothing and accessories -- with room to spare. I've no doubt the T45 will meet my needs for an upcoming month-long meander through the Iberian peninsula.

    Further, when packed, the T45 was easily adjusted to my body, making it comfortable as a backpack, and the handles made it comfortable to use when carried as luggage.
