    I wanted something other than a backpack to use as my personal item for flights. I had previously used a backpack, and this is just a little classier. I bought along my work computer with its accessories and was still able to fit plenty of other items - a paperback book, a small urban sketching kit, tissues and single-wrap wipes, and I still had some room for extras if need-be in the future. Very happy.
