Small Cafe Bag in New 630 HT Ballistics: Saguaro and Raspberry

It’s finally official! Meet our all-new 630 HT Ballistic colors: Saguaro and Raspberry! We’re so excited to introduce these colors into the lineup. We first picked them back in February, and we can’t wait to show them off.

Raspberry and Saguaro will slowly roll out across an assortment of items, with the first bags available to purchase now.

Saguaro is grounded, earthy, and dependable. It’s the ridges of a towering saguaro cactus on the desert landscape or the rich, sun-warmed olive hues of a Mediterranean grove. Saguaro was our response to the need for a new natural and enduring shade similar to some beloved favorites, like Verde 1050 Ballistic (which is too heavy for our smaller bags). At first glance, these two fabrics are very similar, but Saguaro carries a deeper, more complex tone that really comes out in natural light. It’s also comparable to our Olive 420 Parapack, but a bit darker. Think of Saguaro as a neutral with a twist—mild, yet captivating.

Raspberry is confident, playful, and just the right amount of sweet—a color that knows exactly who it is. It conjures up images of freshly made raspberry jam or a vintage raspberry beret (the kind you find in a second-hand store). This color is one we’ve been sitting on for a while, and we’re so excited to finally make it available! Raspberry is perfect for fans of Aubergine; it’s our take on a “grown-up” pink—refined and rich without losing its playful edge. We truly haven’t had anything quite like Raspberry in our lineup before. When comparing it to Red Blend, it’s more of a Rosé than Red Blend’s Burgundy (lighter and more rosy in hue) and doesn’t have the brightness or magenta tone of our retired Azalea fabric. It’s the pink you didn’t know you needed—until now.

Last winter, we began the process of deciding on new colors, aiming to introduce both a fun color and a new neutral. When selecting ballistics, we carefully consider how each color will look across different bag sizes, knowing that what works well on a smaller bag like the Everyday Cubelet or Side Effect might not translate as well to a larger bag like the Synik 30. To get a clear sense of how potential colors might appear, we photoshopped a variety of tones onto the Synik 30, focusing on new versions of teal, pink, olive, warm and cool neutrals, as well as some “wild card” colors for fun.

Mockup of new potential colors

After reviewing the mockups, we agreed to pick a sample from each color category. When we receive ballistic samples, they come in very small fabric patches, which we then use to make our final decision. From these samples, we chose the new colors Saguaro and Raspberry. Raspberry was an easy pick—it perfectly captured the tone we wanted and fulfilled a long-standing customer request for a new pink. Choosing the next color was more challenging, as we needed a neutral option. We ultimately selected Saguaro for its complexity and its resemblance to Verde.

A medium Cafe Bag in Sagurao with dusk lining would be awesome
