My husband bought his Tri-Star in 2013 (navy), and I bought mine in 2014 (gray). When we bought them, there were perfect packing cubes for each separate section, and they are amazing at keeping all of my stuff organized. My husband is a very light packer and was able to get enough clothing and essentials in his to last for a two week trip to China (some undergarment washing was necessary along the way). I pack a bit heavier than he does, but I can still get enough in mine to go on a weeklong trip. In the years since, these bags have been all over the world, and they have little to no wear. When packed to the gills, I can still get mine into the overhead bin of an airplane. If lightly packed, you could likely get it under the seat in front of you.
I LOVE this bag, but I will share a handful of cons that don't quite remove any stars. When you pack it full, it isn't the most comfortable bag to carry around. I generally use the backpack straps more than the shoulder strap, and if you need to make a break for it in the airport, you will definitely curse your shoulders a bit later. Pack lightly (if possible), and keep the running to a minimum! If you need to do a little airport jogging, I will direct you to the amazingness of the Synik 30 (also own in gray). This one is a much better one to jog with, but heavy is heavy no matter how comfy the straps! Those front zipper pockets on the Tri-Star are where things go to get forgotten (at least for me!). I rarely use these pockets, but…
