I had a conference / trade show coming up and I typically carry a rather colorful messenger bag. I wanted something more professional but still unique. I searched the web and narrowed it to two bags of similar size, both made in the states. The Tom Bihn won out because of its multitude of pockets and built in organization.
The Maker's Bag was a rock star for my three day conference. I was able to commute from my hotel to the conference with everything I needed for the day and this bag kept swallowing more. My daily load (pictured) was a water bottle, umbrella, glasses and sun glasses, business cards and extra business cards, a portfolio, my hand outs, more pens than I needed, earbuds, charger, extra tote bag, and other conference debris. I even had a change of clothes (not pictured) one day.
A very versatile bag and can't wait to use it more. I liked it so much, I might use it as my EDC. My 15 inch laptop just fits in the bag with a sleeve. The bottom of the bag is not padded so I would not transport my laptop without a sleeve. I really like the Saguaro with the Persimmon lining - it stands out when you open that flap. I like the one buckle close, I never feel like I am going to lose something, and it is BIG - easy to release or close with one hand.
Upgrading to the Absolute Shoulder Strap is highly recommended. The bag is comfy either under arm or cross body, you can feel the extra cushion, and the bag never wanted to slide off my shoulder it it was just carried…

I LOVE, LOVE this bag! I was worried it would be too small as a work bag & wouldn’t fit my 15 in MacBook. I was pleasantly surprised that when I need it, it does fit, along with a few other essentials, but it does take up a lot of real estate. I don’t mind because I don’t have to bring it with me daily. My husband has a 13 in MacBook, which he does carry almost daily, & has no space issues. Without it, I’ve had plenty of room, even for a generously sized water bottle. I love that it looks great while being very functional, it truly is an adaptable bag that can be used for just about anything. We’ve had no issues with anything falling out as some folks have mentioned, but we also occasionally use a double snap hook strap clipped to the O-rings on each end. Pulls it together just enough to keep things dry & a little more secure. (I don’t always take the extra second to do that, & I still have never had an issue).I am also a big fan of the absolute shoulder straps. It’s definitely worth investing in one in my opinion. I hesitated purchasing this bag for a long time but once I saw the “perfect” color-way for me I couldn’t resist any longer, & I love it every time I look at it. If you’re on the fence, I’d say go for it!

My attraction to this bag was it's size. Not too big. Not too small. My purpose was fot it to be my work bag. Yes, it's great for work, but has basically become my purse. It's sturdy and roomy. As a diabetic, I have to have my meds and snacks ready. I have also used it as my personal item on flights. I adore this bag. ❤️

I already have the side hustle and love it but wanted something a little bigger as well. I love this color combo the pictures don’t do it justice. I know a lot of reviews say that it gaps on the sides but to me it isn’t a bad, as you can see in the first pic. This doesn’t bother me at all and I actually prefer no top zipper. All about preference. This bag is extremely roomy and not too big and not too small. I’m only 5 ft and I love it. To me it’s the perfect size. I really like all of the pockets and organization it has that 99% of most other messenger bags do not have. If you are on the fence , go for it. Well worth the money.
Customer service goes above and beyond also if you run into any problems. Just had to say that also.
I highly recommend this bag and many others from them.
