Nik's Minimalist Wallets can only fit the essentials: a few credit cards, driver's license, and health insurance cards. 

These wallets are for you if:

  • You want something minimalist
  • You appreciate clean design and look
  • You only want or need to carry 6-10 cards

On the other hand, Nik's Minimalist Wallets might not be for you if:

  • You want to carry standard-sized business cards
  • You carry a significant amount of cash
  • You prefer a wallet with a zipper

Full Description

Design

We use nylon to make these wallets since it's typically thinner and lighter than leather. The design of the nearly seamless look was achieved by our designer Nik through a process similar to that of origami. He had to imagine and conceive of a series of internal folds that would — after the final action of turning the wallet inside out post-construction process — create pockets for cards/cash and achieve that seamless look. The wallets are also slim enough to fit comfortably in your front or back pockets.

Nik's original wallet and the most minimalist of them all. Two interior fabric pockets. No exterior pockets.

Two interior pockets: one is fabric, the other is clear urethane. And this time, there's one exterior pocket.

Wallet #4

Wallet #4 is exactly the same as Wallet #3 except for one key difference: a small webbing loop through which gives you the ability to securely and conveniently tether this wallet to any TOM BIHN bag with O-rings. You'll need a Key Strap to do this, but given that all of our larger bags come with one 8" Key Strap in Black, you probably already have one.     Wallet #4 was perfect!

    I am very excited that Tom Bihn is bringing back an update for this wallet! I have wallets #4 and #5. I especially love the loop on the #4 because it lets me hook it to a key strap. It's tiny and this helps me to keep better track of it in my bag. It holds my drivers license and a few cards and some cash easily. I have a small organizer pouch for my coins. I hope that the update contains a way to clip it to something else.

    Great wallet-sad it’s retired

    I’ve had mine for well over 5 years. Great quality. Went to Tom Bihn site to order a new one and saw that it’s now retired. Not sure if the demand just wasn’t there to keep the wallet available. This one is my every day carry…in work uniform, small purse, pants pocket, wristlet, etc.

    Sad it’s not available.

    I hope you will bring a design like this back one day...

    Purchased this wallet during what I think of as The Great Gearhounding of January '23, when I set up my Medium Cafe Bag with a crazed amount of organization, and two years on, both bag and wallet continue to be a superb life hack. This is my fave wallet I've ever had, and that's saying something, since I don't actually like the color that much... It's perfect for club nights, day groceries, travel, all the things, and I can carry it in the tiniest of dresses, inside pocket of jackets, or keep it latched with a key strap in the Cafe Bag.

    I hope this style won't be gone forever. Minimalism that truly works is a treasure. Thank you for all y'all do.

    Please Bring this Back

    I bought a few different versions of this wallet, and I've enjoyed using each of them as my wallet for a few years. They are wearing out. I haven't ordered from Tom Bihn for a couple years because the quality and workmanship are the best. I'm sure I've spent a few thousand dollars on many iterations and styles. Above all this wallet has been the most reliable and used Tom Bihn product in my inventory. PLEASE BRING IT BACK.
