The size and combination of spaces-pockets are perfect. I've been using the Zeitgeist for busy days and as a carry-all on short trips. The inside, padded pocket is great for iPad or other small device and for cards-papers, stamps, you want to keep in good shape. The internal open space is the right size for other gear, organizer pouches, and dropping in a small purse if needed. The internal zip-pocket is handy for small stuff you don't want becoming gravel in the larger area, or for safe-guarding wallet, etc.. I love that the outer pocket is zippered (!) in case I want my wallet, etc., for secure but easy access, and for frequent needed items like lip balm, phone maybe, pen, etc., and you can leave it open or closed as needed. Mine is aubergine :D Thank you for this bag!
