Looking back over my order history, my family has a couple each of Tom Bihn mask styles V2 and V3, and we've just all tried on a V4, V5 (this one), and V6. Different family members prefer different styles, so, unfortunately, I can't say there's one best mask for everyone.
Version V5 is the favorite of 3/5 in my house. If you liked V2, you will probably also like V5 for its fit. I prefer it for my family because if has those added filtration layers.
I agree with an article I read recently that Americans should not be wearing poor quality, homemade masks any longer, but I disagree with that article's author that disposable surgical masks are the best solution. I think we need excellent washable/re-wearable masks AND A SYSTEM BY WHICH TO COMPARE EFFECTIVENESS for non-medical products (like this V5 mask) on the market.
For my face--female, with a prominent, beak-y nose, yet a narrow chin--the S/M in V2-V5 feels just a little too small, yet the larger M/L mask "poked me in the eyes" (i.e., too tall top to bottom.) V6 in the smaller size is a better choice for someone like me. If you felt "between sizes" in a prior TB mask, skip the V5.
Overall, in my household, three people prefer V2/V5 styles like this (I'd call them TB's "minimal masks"), one prefers the V3/V4 ("greater volume" styles but similarly sized), and I'm the outlier with a strong preference for V6.

I really like the design of having the ear loops as part of the string that goes around the neck. It is extremely easy to adjust the ear loops, and because they made it that way, there are no annoying metal parts in the ear loops that irritates my ears (which I experience with another brand).
Plus, the ability to temporarily taking off my mask without worrying where to put it and where it will go is just genius. Genius.

I think the lanyard was what keeps us using your mask.. also it’s a local business and my glasses are more comfortable .. the fit is excellent.
The metal in the nose piece breaks and I could use some in with the mask as spares when I order.
Which reminds me.. I must order a few for my family.. best masks .. and we only used my homemade ones before. So a high compliment!

We have v2, v3, v5,v6 face from your company. Our family is very happy with all the different mask. The v5 is light weight yet breathable. Thank you for making great face mask. Even though a lot of states don’t require face mask our family still use when we go out. My husband and son love the v3. And wished you made more. But again thank you

The mask is very comfortable to wear and last a very long time. This is my third one that I purchased and I cycled them in and out as I clean them and keep them in the car, in the house, and at work. Straps are by far the best feature. They are soft stretchy and help the mask fit snug and secure. I also like the extra neck strap so you can keep it down but have easy access to pull it back over your face when you need it, great for when you’re at work in your office and you have people walking in and out.
