It's finally here! Meet Agave, our newest 630 HT Ballistic color and a limited summer release inspired by the resilient agave plant. With soft turquoise tones, Agave captures that unmistakable feeling of long summer days, desert landscapes, and adventures that don't always follow the itinerary.
Like the plant that inspired it, Agave feels both grounded and vibrant. It's colorful without being loud, distinctive without overpowering the rest of your gear. Depending on the time of day — or even what you pair it with — you might catch more blue one moment and a little green the next. It's the kind of color that keeps revealing new sides of itself.
For years, we've had blues. We've had greens. But there was always a noticeable gap between the two in our current Ballistic color palette. Agave fills that missing piece. Nestled somewhere between Deep Blue, Wilderness, and Saguaro, it rounds out our lineup with a shade that's been surprisingly absent. For those who remember Seapine, Agave feels like its younger sibling. Side by side, Seapine leans greener, while Agave sits further toward blue.
Paired with Dusk, Agave takes on an entirely different personality. The muted, dusty purple interior softens the turquoise exterior, creating a combination that feels like the desert at golden hour, when the sun dips low and everything is bathed in cool shadows and warm light. It's subtle, calming, and a perfect complement to Agave's depth. Alongside Fjord, Agave almost becomes aquatic. Fjord’s coolness tones down the turquoise notes of Agave, turning it into a still image of barreling waves, sea glass, and water so clear it seems to glow from within. The result is crisp, refreshing, and pleasantly serene.
We actually chose this color all the way back in October. Since then, we've been waiting (somewhat impatiently) for the right season to introduce it, and summer felt like the obvious choice. Picking our newest ballistic wasn’t an easy decision. We wanted a color that felt both fun and necessary. After pulling a handful of swatches, ordering fabric patches, and deliberating on them for a while, Agave became a clear winner. It filled a missing piece of the puzzle, and we’re so happy it’s here. However, we did fall in love with one other shade, and you may be seeing it very soon… Any guesses?

Where are the subtle, professional, adult colors? Every new color lately it’s like you pick a crayon from the teal section of the crayon box and turn the saturation up to 100%. Not everyone wants to go around looking like Rainbow Brite. Where are the Nightwalks and Taigas???
