After nearly a year of poring over different bags and packs, I finally decided to go in on an S26. It is a lovely bag, it served its purpose, but I may look to exchange it on the (real) FB group for an s19 or 22.
About me:
• Use case is primarily for my personal item for international travel so I can keep my laptop, switch, notebook, a couple toiletries for freshening up, and my meds on-hand. I plan to use it as an EDC when I'm bopping around doing work at cafes or friends' houses etc.
• I am short at 5'1", I lift weights, and I am used to carrying heavy backpacks and messenger bags from going to highschool and college in the early 00s.
• I've previously used duffel bags and random packs for my personal items, including the WANDRD PRVKE21 and some cheap backpack from Tommy Bahama via TJMaxx.
The good:
• THE POCKETS!?! - truly an incredibly well laid-out bag. As an ADHDer, I really love having the 5 smaller exterior pockets, each with their own o-ring(s) for clipping other, smaller bags or items inside. Even when I initially over-packed the inside, the outside pockets were still usable, just tight to get into. I got a cubelet and a lanyard and that kept all my small things handy for the flight.
• The modularity - similarly, the bag having all the internal attachment points makes the bag somewhat of a shape-shifter. I can attach my non-TB tech pouch with gateclips to the inside, I can strap down loose items and bags with the internal suitcase straps, I can move stuff around…
