    Adds good structure

    The bag is great without the frame, but if you pack the bag with bulky, roundish items, the frame prevents the entire bag from being too round. The flatness it gives the back improves the carry experience.

    Nice addition when fully packed out

    I go without the frame for most of my day to day usage, but it's nice to be able to slot it in when the bag is fully packed out—helps keep the bag's shape from bulging too much, especially when I'm not carrying a laptop.
