Absolutely LOVE this bag!
I ordered this bag for a flight to Europe, where the restrictions for a personal item were very minimal and I am so glad I did. It was perfect. It’s such a well-thought-out design.(including the center panel where you can put a water bottle.) In addition, the team at Tom Bihn was fantastic! I ran into a problem with the expedited shipping saying they lost the bag after missing two scheduled delivery points and the team at Tom Bihn was so helpful. They shipped me a new bag immediately with a return label in case the other one showed up. (Which it did.) I received my bag in plenty of time to do a test pack and make sure that it was going to suit my needs for the trip. This experience made me fall in love with Tom Bihn bags all over again. Many years ago, I had purchased two of their Swift bags to hold my knitting projects, and while I love them, I hadn’t ordered much recently.
I will definitely look at Tim Bihn first when I need another bag!

This has been the perfect commuting work bag. The 2 front pockets separated by the narrow bottle compartment has been brilliant for my organization habits, and the main compartment nicely carries documents with space for lunch and a windbreaker. Rides reasonably well on bike commuting though I'm not sure that it is really rigged for that use. Overall great bag that does not look huge but has plenty of space.

Great personal item for travel
More space than you would think and more tham sufficient separate pockets to keep things organized.. Love it!
Also have the copilot which is perfect for an EDC - I use it as a camera bag for by 2 Leica Ms and a total of 4 lenses - plus iPhone, iPad, chargers and spare batteries and miscellaneous items.
The fullsize Pilot allows me to add to all that a 15” MacBook Air, a book or two and even a smallish Dop-kit for travel.
