Description

A clothing organizer in various sizes designed specifically for your Techonaut 30 or Aeronaut 30, though you can use them in other bags as well. Packing Cubes compress and organize everything inside your bags, from socks to shirts to even your bulkiest items. Made from our Piscine high tenacity in nylon fabric, along with our top quality U.S.-made mesh, our Packing Cubes are super lightweight, yet ultra sturdy.

Small Packing Cube: Ideal for smaller items, like your undergarments, socks, or t-shirts. Both sides are made of mesh. Sized to fit in the bottom pocket of the Techonaut 30 or the end pockets of the Aeronaut 30. You can also pack two side-by-side in the main compartment of either bag.
Small Laundry Packing Cube: Duo-compartment design. You can use this cube to separate your clean clothes from dirty clothes. One side is still made out of mesh while the other side is all-fabric. Sized to fit in the bottom pocket of the Techonaut 30 or the end pockets of the Aeronaut 30. You can also pack two side-by-side in the main compartment of either bag.
Large Packing Cube: Both sides are made of mesh so you can easily see the contents inside. This is a great size for bigger items, like your jeans, long sleeve shirts, nicer attire for dinner, or a jacket. Sized to fit in the main compartments of the Techonaut 30 and Aeronaut 30. You can also stack two Large Packing Cubes on top of each other in the main compartment.
Large Laundry Packing Cube: Duo-compartment design. You can still fill it with larger clothing pieces, then separate out the clean clothes from the dirty ones by using the duo compartments. Sized to fit in the main compartments of the Techonaut 30 and Aeronaut 30. You can also stack two Large Packing Cubes on top of each other in the main compartment.
End Pocket Packing Cube: The End Pocket is an all-fabric cube. It's ideal for storing a pair of shoes.

Totally functional, but ultimately (slightly) disappointing
I use Peak Design packing cubes, and I think they are ultimately a superior product. However, I never felt like they were sized optimally for my Techonaut 30 bag. I was then, therefore, intrigued by this packing cube offered by Tom Bihn that supposedly fit PERFECTLY in this very bag. Alas, it fit exactly the same as the Peak Design cube I was using. Now, could I have looked at the product dimensions and determined that before I purchased the Tom Bihn cube? Yes. Is the Tom Bihn cube as good as it needs to be? Yes. Does it fit PERFECTLY in a Techonaut 30 bag? I would argue: no. Or, at least, it does not fit how I would like it to. However, I collect packing cubes like Pokémon, so I'm not sad. Just, you know, (slightly) disappointed.

Packing Cube review
I bought the Aeronaut 30 packing cubes to use on a recent international trip. Honestly though I ended up leaving them at home. They lack any sort of compression features and so I ended up using different cubes. I do like that these are designed to fit the bag and I am sure they will be great for organization, but compression was more important for me on this trip. If they had the ability to compress then likely would be 5 stars. They seem very well made.

Right size cube for T30
Having the right size cube for the T30 makes a difference. FWIW the small cube also fits nicely (maybe slightly underpacked) in the end compartment as well. The end cube is a little harder to pack since it opens down the middle, but the small cube opens from the top. I wish I could get the laundry cubes!

The End Pocket packing cube fits very well, and I've been using it to hold soccer cleats or a pair of shoes when travelling.
