    Perfect in every way

    After my well loved Tumi tote decided to wear out, I went looking for a replacement. Since I live locally I decided to look at Tom Bihn bags. I settled on the Nomad 16 and I’m very pleased. The bag has high quality components and construction. It’s the perfect size for my airplane travel carry on, toting around for my urban sketching outings and trips around town. I especially love the zippered compartments. It’s a definite upgrade and a keeper for years to come.

    Versatile Tote Bag for Work, Gym, and Travel

    The name Nomad totally fits this bag. I was a bit hesitant at first (did I really need another crossbody bag?), but using it has been a useful delight.

    Things I love:

    - The horizontal zipper access makes it so easy to open the bag and access items. It's faster for me to access my Nomad 16 with a single hand than any other zippered backpack or bag

    - The luggage passthrough was useful during a wedding trip with a roller bag. I loved that the tote bag stood upright underneath a regular-cabin flight on a Boeing 737 MAX 9. I usually use a backpack and am a bit skeeved that my back becomes the new home for whatever germs lurk on airplane carpet

    - The organization pockets and O-rings make it a snap to transfer between this tote for work and travel needs and my Bantam for other outings

    - I found myself having to use this tote for the gym and it worked out so well! It fit my workout clothes easily and traveled well from spot to spot in the gym. I don't carry a water bottle to the gym (plenty of fountains there), but it would have fit regardless

    Things I'd improve:

    - I wish the tote straps tucked in more neatly and cleanly into the bag when using the shoulder strap

    All in all, this is a gorgeous tote bag that is great for so many uses!

    Exceeded Expectations!

    This is my first Tom Bihn bag, and it did not disappoint! I agonized over which Nomad bag to purchase, worried about it being too big or too small. My goal was to have a bag I could use for both work and activities, rather than switching between a work backpack and casual tote. I’m glad I went with the Nomad 16.

    The craftsmanship of the bag is amazing, and I love the layout. The front compartment allows for organization without adding bulk, and I think it will help me to avoid things getting lost in a bottomless pit, something I’ve struggled with in the past. Thank you for an amazing bag!

    Love for Nomad 16

    I really love this bag. After my last expensive bag started to show wear on the straps, I was looking for something more durable. I tried and sent back a couple of other options, but this is it. Looks like it will last me a good long time! Easily holds my 13" Macbook, an umbrella, sweater, my lunch, and all mu usual odds and ends for a work day. And will be great for travel.
