    Great EDC bag

    I didn’t want another backpack for work, so the CoPilot is the right size for a table, a couple books, a bottle and other miscellaneous. I’m 5’7” and didn’t want a very large bag either. The CoPilot is what I was looking for. Typically well built TB bag.

    Nearly perfect

    This bag holds way more than you think. I went back and forth in my head between this and the pilot because I occasionally carry a 14 inch MacBook Pro to work. Glad I went smaller because it totally fits the computer (albeit without a case). If you carry one daily opt for the pilot though. The water bottle pocket is a revelation too. I can put a 40 oz Kleen Kanteen in there with just the top popping out. The side pockets are great for little pen and wire organization. And even when I overstuff the main pocket I can still slip a book or a journal in the rear open pocket.

    The only reason I did 4 stars instead of 5 is because there is an incessant squeaking on one of the strap points when I walk about town. I don’t notice it on busy streets or if I am wearing headphones, but it really drives me nuts when I want to walk in a quiet space and hear around me. To be fair I haven’t reached out to Tom Bihn about a fix yet and I am hopeful they can guide me in this, but it really is an annoying noise. If I find a fix I would definitely bump the review to 5 stars.

    Exactly what I needed

    I needed a smaller EDC bag. I have a lot of messenger bags and briefcase type bags. I wanted a versatile compact bag for travel or attending events. I can't over fill it. Pouches fit great. Hydro Flask fits great. I get a lot of compliments on it.

    The shoulder strap does have a strong chemical smell and it does squeak a little when walking which is totally annoying.

    Perfect Bag for Volunteer Work

    I'm recently retired and plan to do some pro bono work in the future. This bag is the perfect size for that use case, and looks professional. I can squeeze in my 13-inch MacBook Air if need be, as well as a few standard-sized file folders and a notepad. My purse items go into an Everyday Cubelet and Cubelet, which fit nicely into the front pockets. My insulated 16-ounce water bottle fits into the central pocket with no issues. The Spectron fabric has a good amount of give to it while looking sharp and professional. The grab handle is great for moving the bag around. Fully loaded, it carries very well with the Absolute Strap. I highly recommend this bag.
