Full Description

Main Compartment

Small but formidable, the main compartment has one large interior pocket and two smaller pockets (the latter made from a mock-woven elastane fabric) to hold small things where you want. The rest is open space for your phone or pouches. An o-ring on the interior lies in wait for all your key strap needs.  

Exterior Belt Passthrough Pocket

On the backside of the Bantam is a passthrough pocket measuring 2.5" / 60mm tall that fits most belts. On the top and bottom of the passthrough pocket are also two equal sized, narrow pockets that can be used to carry standard pens.

Ways to Carry the Bantam

Shoulder/Crossbody Bag

We included an adjustable 5/8" Shoulder Strap, made from nylon webbing and with the same plastic clips as our Key Straps, to attach to the O-Rings on either side of the Bantam. 

Waist Pack or Sling Bag

On the sides of the bag are unobtrusive webbing loops to which you can attach an optional 1" Gatekeeper Hip Belt, using our ubiquitous Gatekeeper clips. Wear the Bantam around your waist or hips, and you've got a sweet waist pack. Wear it crossbody with the bag on your back, and you've got a mini sling bag. 

Belt Bag

Slide your belt through, and the Bantam can sit nicely on your hip, in front of you, or behind you.

Wrist Bag

Clip the Handle Loop to one of the O-rings on either side of the Bantam and carry the whole affair in hand.

Organizer Pouch

Clip one side of any of our Key Straps to the Bantam and then clip the other side to an O-ring inside one of our larger bags. That way, the Bantam stays tethered to your bag.

A simple and light-duty shoulder strap made of 5/8" nylon webbing. It is adjustable and has plastic snaphooks at each end. It does not have extra padding.

8" Snaphook/Snaphook Key Strap

As with most of our bags, we've included a key strap. 8" long from tip-to-tip, a snaphook on either end. Good for attaching your keys to.

    Bantam - Bah

    Bantam is another very fine TomBihn bag, small sized as it is appropriately name. But, it has no zippered comparments inside and only one open pouch hold all. And Its small size is one reason I purchased it. The flaw , and it is fatal, is that the pouch, unzipped, holdings keys, phone and cards, flips upside down before I have a chance to zip the Bantam closed. Frequently I am down on my knees scooping up bag contents, odd receipts, cards, etc. Not a balanced design, and back to the drawing board, please. I will size up a bit for next purchase.

    Perfect Size for large phones

    For someone not looking for a bulky sling or hip pack, for me this was the right size with a wider zipper opening. I went through the Patagonia mini & the Mystery Ranch Forager hip packs until I found this one. Both had the style I wanted, minimal & not bulky/ large looking, but both couldn't keep up with the change of my phone size to fit through the zipper. For me this is the perfect size! I can just toss my Samsung Ultra in there with my wallet and keys without a struggle. Additionally, its great that there are two zipper pulls which gives me freedom to sling the Bantam on either side of my shoulder.

    A nice small bag for EDC

    I like this bag, I am using it to carry my keys, my wallet, my AirPod Pro case and I can squeeze my iPhone 13 Pro Max in it as well in a pinch. Things start getting a bit tight at that point. Your mileage may vary based on your wallet and cell phone size. It works well inside my matching Side Hustle as well. I added the carry strap to it as I don't like the purse/murse look of the shoulder strap. Of course, now it looks a bit like a masculine version of a clutch bag, but I my male ego can deal with it.

    Love this for my travel s

    I use this to hold my wallet, phone, etc inside my T45/T30/etc. Can get on the hip, but I tend to have it on a keystrap off one of those bags!
