The Synapse 19 is hands-down the best everyday carry bag I’ve ever owned. What impresses me most is how well it maintains its form—even when carrying a full water bottle. As an autistic person who has to carry *all the things* at all times, please believe me when I say this backpack is perfect. You know the saying "you get what you pay for"? Well, this bag is expensive, but so worth it. The quality of the craftsmanship is like nothing I've ever seen. And I've seen a ton while searching for what I need.
As mentioned earlier, I carry a lot. So it can get pretty heavy. The way this bag is designed makes it feel like I'm not carrying anything. It feels like a hug when I'm wearing it. I'm a plus-sized girl and it's difficult to find straps that fit. This does, with more to give.
And omigoodness the color! It's a vibrant, but not loud, shade of aubergine. It almost changes colors in different lights. Deep, dark purple to bright & crisp in sunlight.
I could go on but we'd be here all day. I can't recommend this backpack enough!

This is my first Tom Bihn bag and it did not disappoint. The materials they use are great quality and all the pockets are amazing. 10/10, will buy again!

I plan on using this one as an urban commute bag. So far everything seems to have found the right place. Organization is superb. The color orange that I got is really cool. And spacewise I'm very happy. I might add the Freudian slip, but so far it works without it too.
The build quality seems good. Looking very robust, but time will show if it really is so:))
I'm very content overall.

I bought the synapse 19 for myself after searching high and low for the perfect backpack. I’ve been searching for ages, and the main details I always look for are organization and size. This backpack has the best organizational pockets Ive encountered. Each zipper is secure, inside there is a slip pocket, and the option for adding in more pouches inside is perfect for those who like things in just the right place in their bag. Size wise this backpack is perfect for me. I’m 5’2” and most backpacks that offer the same amount of storage look like a turtle shell. This one doesn’t. If you’re interested in the synapse 19 I say go for it. You won’t be disappointed :-)
