I put a lot of research and consideration into my first EDC kit- I used to be the kind of person who would pack things away into pockets in defiance of big bulky purses I never ever wanted to use, but unfortunately pretty rompers, shorts, and dresses don't have the same level of utility as a good pair of cargo pants! For me, the Bantam is just what I needed to be able to walk out of the house no matter my outfit and know that I didn't forget anything on the way to work, an event, or even just biking around the city. This is definitely a bag for when you want to carry light. As of right now, what I keep inside it at all times is:
- a cardholder-style wallet
- my keys
- a card sleeve I made to store band-aids (to keep them unbent!) and clip a few bobby pins onto
- a pen
- a pad (not the pen kind)
- a pill fob
- a 30ml bottle of hand sanitizer
- my Loop earplugs
- a tissue packet
- a teeny tiny coin pouch
- lip balm
- a small nail clipper + file
- one singular Ricola cough drop
- a protein bar
I reserve the pocket near the back for my phone when I don't have any pockets at all, otherwise that still goes in my pants.
If I had more than this to carry or wanted a good chunk of extra space, I probably would have gone with the Side Effect instead, but for now this is my Goldilocks bag! I wear it with the Gatekeeper belt crossbody or around my waist, and it's so small I can forget it's there sometimes. I'm really glad I found this bag, and I know the Bantam and I be sticking together…
