Carabiners with a swivel middle.

Description

The name of our Swivel Double Carabiner says it all: it’s a double carabiner joined in the middle by a swivel point. It’s available in sizes Small, Medium, and Large and in a variety of colors.

Wait a minute, you might say: didn’t I see these somewhere before? Yes, you did: our Knitting Tool Pouches have long included one Swivel Double Carabiner in Wasabi… and now we’re offering them in a variety of sizes and colors for purchase on their own.

There’s a lot of different ways you might use these handy carabiners; see the photos and video above for some ideas. Generally, these carabiners are intended to secure lighter weight items to your bag; they’re not intended for use in suspending something very heavy. And we probably don't need to say this, but we'll say it anyway: never use these to suspend body weight, never use these for climbing.

And, of course, all three sizes clip to the O-rings sewn inside our bags.

    They work just fine

I used mine to attach a 3D organizer at the top, inside of my Synik 22. It does just what I wanted it to do. Size small is better than a size medium.

Small, light, and useful - external hooks on my Synik

I use this double carabiner to add an external hook to my Synik which I find a convenient way to add quick access to temporary external objects such as convention badges.

Fairly nice, but smaller than I expected

That is probably on me- the measurements were likely somewhere and I just did not notice. I would have gone larger, but the other sizes were sold out so I took a shot on these. They are probably too small to use in any meaningful way, so I would not buy again. Also, I suspect they are ordered from another entity and thus one of the things I like about TB (products made in Seattle), is not true of these and I might as well have gotten them on Amazon or somewhere similar.

Great for traveling where there are pickpockets

I love these little guys - after I noticed someone's hand inside my chest pack reaching for my phone (not my own hand!), I discovered a way to hook these up and over a strap so that both zippers were carabinered in. I never had another issue in 6 weeks of travel! It takes an extra move or two to get into your zippered pockets, but for me, that was worth it. I used the larger ones for my day pack, hooking all my zippers into the same swivel set. They are fantastic!

Our bags are designed and sewn right here in Seattle, Washington, U.S.A.

That allows us to be control freaks in the best way possible; we have direct control and oversight of the quality of our materials, our products, and the jobs and working environment that we help create. It also offers us a unique spontaneity: when we have an idea for a new product or accessory, we can design it, figure out how to build it, add it to our website and be ready to ship it out our front door all within just a few weeks. How cool is that?
