I have the Vertical Packing Cubelet - Solaris 200 Halcyon 1.25L. The key takeaways are it is a durable, light weight, flexible (in both structure and use).
Design:
The material (Halcyon) is not super stretchy and light weight. It also doesn’t rip or puncture easily. I have packed it to its max and it never seemed to have an issue zippering. The YKK Racquet-coil zipper works super well around curves even when packed to capacity. The stitching is reinforced (see image 2) which helps it zip closed even when its not full.
Uses: I haven’t found one dedicated use for the Vert Cubelet so far which doesn’t mean that it hasn’t performed well. When I camp I use it to hold my flashlight extra batteries, tiny zip pouches that hold pocket tools, and simple med pack stuff. It is also great for jacket or pullover storage. Using a shoulder strap and the Cubelet is way cooler than just wrapping it around your waist.
Internal organization is very simple, you just throw everything inside. Because the zipper opens the Cubelet half way you won’t be looking around for your items. I recommend the Mini or Super Mini Whale pouch for items that might are smaller than 1 inch for easy…
