Full Description

Large Open-Top Main Compartment

The main compartment of the Original Small Shop Bag can fit a lot! It's perfect for your farmer's market haul, to-go lunch, books, or folded up clothing.

The inside of the Original Small Shop Bag has two deep, open-top pockets you can use for items like wine or water bottles. When not in use, you can fold the entire bag into one of these pockets (see video here) if you want to save space, or store it inside your larger bag until you need it.

There are 2 O-rings in the interior of the Shop Bag. On one of the O-rings is a Key Strap and the other is unoccupied so that you can clip on a pouch, if you want.

Piping on the Seams

We've piped the seams with the same stiff plastic material used on hat brims. This piping gives the Shop Bag just enough structure to stand up while you're filling it.

PORON® Foam-Padded Handles

In addition to its good looks and organization, you'll notice that the Original Small Shop Bag's PORON®-padded handles make it comfortable to carry, even when it's quite heavy. Designed to be an ideal length that will allow most people to carry the bag in their hand or wear it over their shoulder, these handles successfully prevent that awful hand-slicing or shoulder-tugging experience of lugging traditional non-padded fabric handles. The PORON® will never break down or wear thin, no matter how many trips you make to the store.

    Olive Cloth Small Shop Bag

    I have plenty of TB shop bags. I ordered one of these because cotton seemed durable enough and wasn't plastic. It's a minor virtue test and another excuse for a TB bag. In short, it's great.

    I'm very conscious about what I put in to it because it won't shed water nor clean as easily as the other fabric options. I knew this going in and have no unrealistic expectations that cotton could be what it is not. It's a great solution for utility functions.

    For grocery shopping, I prefer the combination of a truck and an original shop bag in a waterproof fabric. But this bag in this fabric fills a niche for me and I'm glad that I have it.

    Cute, handy bag

    I bought this to potentially use as a liner for the pop-tote (a suggestion that I saw on the Tom Bihn forums). I didn't end up using it for that. It just didn't work very well, and while it provided more pockets, they were all in the same area.

    I kept it because it is small, foldable, but can hold a lot. I see a lot of potential uses for this bag.

    Companion piece for large bag

    A permanent resident for the auto trunk, esp. after the duplicity of WalMart was uncovered about their “recycling “ of LDPE store bags, whwereas they actually were shipping them to 3rd world countries where who knows what was being done with them.

    So recycling is not happening, we’re being duped into feeling like we’re doing our part, etc. So the answer for this small problem is to never trust them to do what they claim, and avoid all “single use” plastics. These bags are an answer that will last for decades!
