Ocean/Olive Small/Medium
Ocean/Olive Small/Medium

Our non-medical V3 Reusable Cloth Face Mask is made with three layers of fabric; an outermost layer of 65% polyester / 35% cotton blend; a middle layer of 100% Cotton Twill; and an innermost / face layer of 100% Cotton Twill. Its features include adjustable and soft (non-elastic!) ear loops, an adjustable neck lanyard, and a customizable conforming nose bridge (w/included metal nose clip). Like all of our face masks, the V3 Mask is cut & sewn right here in Seattle, Washington, U.S.A. It's available in two sizes: S/M and M/L (click here for sizing instructions.)

The V3 features a unique new design that's a good option for people who want to sing, chant, open their mouths wide to laugh or who have facial hair or beards. Most (but not all) people will find they can open their mouths really wide without this mask slipping off the nose or above the chin. If that sounds good to you, make sure you order the correct size (and err on the side of larger rather than smaller if you're in-between sizes) and make sure you tighten the ear loops so they're snug (snug, but not too tight!)

Like our bags, our masks are satisfaction guaranteed; we welcome you to whether you love your mask and want to recognize our talented sewing crew or there's something not working for you.

Our innovative ear loop and neck lanyard material is comfortable, conforming, and stretchy — but it’s not the scratchy elastic that’s typically found on masks. Even when worn around the ears, we (and others) find our material to be quite comfortable for longterm wear. As we mentioned, the ear loops and neck lanyard are both adjustable; you can shorten or lengthen them. We find the neck lanyard to be a convenient feature when we go out for walks. If no other people are around, we can let the mask hang around our neck and against the sternum; if we see another person coming our way, it's easy to very quickly grasp the ear loops (without touching the fabric of the mask) and put the mask on.

Your mask will arrive with a metal nose piece inserted into the slot that can be bent to conform your mask over your nose. By leaving the nose bridge slot open on both ends, we’re giving you the option of customizing the nose bridge to work best for you — you can replace the included metal piece with a different nose bridge material if you’d like a softer or firmer fit.

To wash your mask, see the CDC: How To Wash Cloth Face Coverings guidelines. We also recommend washing your face masks in a reusable mesh laundry bag; this will prevent the ear loops from getting caught on other stuff in the washer and dryer and will help protect your mask. If you’re looking to avoid wrinkles, machine wash your masks, shape the mask, and line dry per CDC Guidelines. Removing the twist-tie piece (use a pair of tweezers to pull or push it out) will help the nose piece last longer. Please download and review this PDF for our full warnings & instructions for use.

To determine which size you need, take a flat ruler and place it next to your nose. Measure from the bridge of your nose to the point of your chin.

Choose Small/Medium if you measure LESS than 4.5” / 115mm

Choose Medium/Large if you measure MORE than 4.5” / 115mm

And if you measure exactly 4.5" or have facial hair, we recommend choosing the Medium/Large size. The ability to adjust the fit of the mask also means that some folks may be able to make a larger size than normal work for them. For example, the best size mask for for a person whose face measures 4.25” is the Small/Medium, but they can likely wear a Medium/Large with a good secure fit by tightening her ear loops.

Our masks are satisfaction guaranteed. Please if you're happy with your mask *or* there's something that doesn't work for you. We want to hear from you!

For the health and safety of our crew, we can’t accept physical returns, repairs or exchanges for/of these masks. Any issue with materials or workmanship on these masks will be evident immediately; beyond your immediate inspection of the mask upon its arrival, the mask is not covered under our Lifetime Guarantee.

Some of you will ask why our masks (or our bags, for that matter!) are more expensive. Our business model is unusual: we are designer, manufacturer, and direct retailer and our entire company shares the same 16,000 square feet in Seattle, the city with the highest minimum wage in the United States. We're also a Certified B Corporation. The contract manufacturers we work with are also in Seattle. In short, our labor and overhead costs are likely significantly higher than that of a business who manufactures their products overseas.

We recommend that you read our Warnings & Instructions For Use. If you need more copies of the Warnings and Instructions For Use to distribute with masks that you are providing to others, please download this PDF and print additional copies on your home printer.

These guidelines are based on this FDA document; the guidelines may be subject to change. Please refer to the FDA website for the most up-to-date information.

Finally A Mask That Fits My Giant Face

This thing has been a life saver!

I've been struggling to find a good mask that could fit my large chin/nose combo, and this fit the bill! Most other masks I had tried pressed my nose against my face (which sucks especially with a septum piercing) or my nose would leave giant spaces between my cheeks and the fabric of the mask making it worthless. The V3 in M/L molds right to my face and seals up nicely due to the under-chin lip of fabric and nose bridge. Sure, the top of the mask goes basically to right under my eyes, but I feel much safer knowing I'm breathing through a sealed mask, instead of through a bunch of openings.

Plus the nose piece + nose shape in the fabric has kept my glasses from fogging and gives them something to hold on to. (Pro Tip: get a glasses chain/cord to keep them from falling to the floor while resting awkwardly on your mask! I still don't know how to keep them on my face consistently but the chain has saved my specs from falling into the unknown on multiple occasions).

The neck/ear strap is also the most comfortable one I've seen on a mask! Doesn't rub weird on my ears and is thin enough that I barely realize it's there. Great for extended wear.

My only knock is the metal nose piece. The V6 comes with a MUCH better metal strip for the nose. The one that came with my V3 is honestly way too thin for the thickness of the nose bridge.

Otherwise, this baby is perfect.

Nose piece way too heavy

I ordered this thinking that the stronger nose piece would be easy to configure than the other good Tom Binh masks I had ordered, but found it's harder to bend and uncomfortably heavy for bridge of my nose. Intertia and other good masks have kept me from replacing it with pipe cleaners which work well in other masks. I'll use this review as a reminder to self to do it.

Small/mdm size fits my thinnish face very well horizontally and vertically.

V3 masks brings an essential item to everyday people, while they help keep medical grade masks, for medical personnel.

The V3 replaces the V1 mask made by the people of Tom Bihn, at the beginning of the pandemic. One V 1 mask was donated, for each one bought, I got 6 Medium/Large and 2 Small/Medium.

When more protective masks were needed, the people at Tom Bihn came to the rescue. I ordered 8 Medium/Large when the first or second batch was introduced, they are still holding strong.

I credit the V3 for bringing my family, a way to get through the anxiety, associated with the pandemic.

That small shield of fabric brought a relative peace of mind, when venturing outside to go to work , get food and other essentials and pick up books and art supplies, from local businesses.

The V3 soft earloops, useful neck strap and breathable fabric are top notch.

I only wish that the inner fabric was available in another color.

There is always a V3 in the car and another, in the Tom Bihn bag I carry.

Great quality but like a previous poster said not like the v2 at all. I was assume g it would have the same fit so I ordered a m/L fit and I feel like my eyes are going to be cover by the mask when I look down. The under neck portion is a bit tight for me. Waste of $20, it'll just sit on a shelf and I'll wait for the v5 and buy that if it's even needed by then.
