Once a month, we eat lunch as a company. It could be Ethiopian, Mexican, Chinese, Vietnamese, American, Greek cuisine — no matter what we’re eating, it’s always vegetarian, and it's always on the company.
We made this decision based on various studies that indicated that reducing our consumption of meat and dairy products is one of the most important actions an individual can take on behalf of the environment. In mid-2019, the United Nations issued a report prepared by 107 scientists for the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) that found that reduced consumption of animal products is advised to save the world from the worst impacts of climate change.
Of course, not all of us here at TOM BIHN eat vegetarian all of the time; however, making our once-a-month shared lunch vegetarian is easy, and really quite yummy.
