When ordering the Checkpoint Flyer, Aeronaut, Western Flyer, Archetype and Brain Cell, you are given a choice between two different shoulder straps — the Absolute and the TerraGrip.
This is a guide to help you understand the differences between the two straps. More detailed information and pictures of the Absolute Shoulder Strap and the TerraGrip.
The Absolute Shoulder Strap - The Absolute Shoulder Strap has a unique patented internal control-stretch system that's a life saver when carrying a bag or case. Combining a soft, durable neoprene pad with comfortable stretch backing to make bags feel 50% lighter and 100% more comfortable, it's the ideal shoulder strap for those who carry heavy loads or simply want the most comfortable strap available. Of course, we go the extra mile and add heavy duty, all-metal snaphooks. Made in U.S.A. to our specifications, our snaphooks are double-plated to keep them sharp looking for years. The Absolute Shoulder Strap is manufactured in Montana. It is the only strap we recommend for those who carry very large bags or very heavy loads. $30.
The TerraGrip Shoulder Strap - The TerraGrip is the only strap we've come across that never slips off your shoulder -- even if you're bending down to pick somethingup. It's a comfortable, durable strap for those who carry smaller bags or light-medium weight loads. The TerraGrip Strap is made with state-of-the-art soy-based soft-touch polymer materials. It will remain completely flexible to -40 F and is U.V. stabilized (no fading or cracking). The primary function of the TerraGrip is grip: if you're looking for a more comfortable, padded strap, consider the Absolute. $20.
