Made out of durable 1000 denier Cordura®, a water-resistant fabric that's used
in the military because its tear and abrasion resistance is double that of standard
nylon, the Utility Tote is a large, open-top tote bag that features two exterior
open slant pockets and a single interior Dyneema ripstop fabric pocket that zips
shut with a #5 YKK zipper. The YKK zipper features a plastic, not a metal, slider,
which makes the Utility Tote perfect for a day at the beach or sailing.
The interior Dyneema® ripstop pocket will fit your wallet, sunglasses,
or any other small items you would like to keep securely zipped away. The pocket
features a d-ring with an attached Key Strap that will keep you from losing your keys.
The main compartment of the Utility Tote is big enough to take everything but the kitchen sink.
If you don't plan to fill the Utility Tote to capacity, don't worry: it's designed to look
great whether empty or full.
The main compartment also features two small d-rings that will accept our Organizer Pouches (optional; available in Cordura, Cork, Clear, and Padded) or an extra key snap.
About the exterior open slant pockets on the Utility Tote: one is fabric, and one is mesh.
Both fit magazines and newspapers, and the mesh pocket is perfect for
stowing sandy swimwear, an umbrella, or a picnic blanket.
The handles of the Utility Tote are padded with comfortable Poron® foam, an advanced, durable foam
designed to be resistant to moisture, shock-absorbing, and immune to becoming brittle or
cracking. In side-by-side drop weight tests, Poron® materials outperformed vinyl sponge,
neoprene sponge, sponge rubber, latex foam and other materials. The Poron foam handles
are wrapped with an exterior of 1000 denier Cordura®, and are accented with a color
that matches the main/first color of the Utility Tote color combination. The handles are designed
to be long enough (so that you can wear the bag over your shoulder) but not so long that the bag drags
on the floor (for most folks.)
