The Side Effect can be used three different ways: as a shoulder bag (included is a
shoulder strap that fits neatly inside of the bag when not in use), a waist pack (the waist
strap tucks away when not in use), or as an organizer bag for toiletries, computer cables,
or other small items. The Side Effect fits well inside most TOM BIHN bags, including the
Aeronaut and Western Flyer travel bags.
The Side Effect has an exterior of 1000 denier Cordura and is available in colors Olive,
Black, Plum, Indigo, and Steel.
The Side Effect has one main compartment that zips open with
two sliders, both with cord pulls. Inside the main compartment are two organizer
pockets: both are sized to fit an iPhone, iPod, mini-notebook, or credit cards/I.D.
The main compartment also has
two "o-rings" designed to allow you to clip a Clear Organizer Wallet, Key Strap, or
Clear, Padded, Cork, or Cordura Organizer Pouch to the inside. (Only sizes Mini,
Small, or Pen/Pencil will fit.) One 8" Key Strap is included with the Side Effect.
The back of the
Side Effect features a zippered pocket sized specifically for a passport (or two - if you're
carrying your companion's passport or you are Jason Bourne.) Behind the zippered pocket
is where the waist straps tuck away when you're not using them. Pull them out, put
the bag around your waist, and buckle them together and you've got a waist pack. (Or
a shoulder bag with a waist strap if you use the shoulder strap at the same time.) Great for
cycling, hiking, or any situation where you need your hands completely free.
