    Cool Next trip - Minnesota

We fly into Minneapolis-St Paul on June 24. Stay 4 days in or near Minneapolis, then on to the North Shore, Duluth area. Renting a house near Beaver Bay until Jul 7th.
    Then back home.

We haven't decided yet where to stay. Not sure if Minneapolis is a walking town like Seattle. I know they have a light rail, so maybe a location outside the city would be better. A trip to the Mall of America is planned.

This is the first trip for my new Smart Alec as a carryon and camera bag. Plus other essentials such as jackets, etc.

My wife has been researching all the places to see. Suggestions are welcomed.
Been there. Done that. Can't remember.

MPLS is my city! In the summer there are Nice Ride public bikes you can rent. They're all over the city. You can go around the lakes, which is beautiful. The Walker Art Center is one of the best contemporary art museums in the country, maybe the world. The Guthrie Theater will be running two or three productions at that time of year. Check out the A Loft hotel. The rooms are great, it's downtown, and on the light rail.

I was there last August, and I really liked it. I second the rental bikes, MSP has the best bike trails I have ever seen. Also, if you have a chance, go to Burger Jones, the best burgers I've ever consumed. I think the Mall is really going to surprise you, when I was there, it was hosting an entire Chinese circus, no joke. I would like to recommend both the Mill City Museum in Minneapolis and the History Museum in St. Paul
