What do you clip on your D rings?

Not very inventive. I clip my TB pouches on them.

On my Imago, I got a clear mini pouch clipped to the outside D ring, holding my bus pass - it goes into the curved pocket behind my Moleskine planner when not in use. The ring behind that gets my keys on the keystrap, and the other D ring holds another mini pouch (not clear this time) with my spare change.

Me too. And the key strap. Oh, I did clip a small hand sanitizer bottle to one.

My main bag is the imago. I use the outside clip for my "liquid". I have a coffee portable cup and a tea one that attach to the d-ring and I alternate depending on my mood. They are attached outside the bag so they don't take up any space.
I have a small pouch I use for things like aspirin, vitamins, lip moisturizer etc. A medium pouch for pens, pencils and things like that. The smallest size pouch I use for credit cards, change, and important things I don't want to lose.
And I attach my keys to the keyring.
I just got a lux to use with the imago. I bought a small clear pouch for it and have it fastened to the ring but I'm not sure yet how I'll use it. I also have the little cork one I'll probably use with my lux when I locate the other ring.

I asked for a couple of extra key straps when I went to the TB store, and I just use them to extend the reach of my pouches. In other words, it's not too creative, but I can pull a pouch out of my ID without unclipping it.

I've been trying out the new lanyards pictured in the link in Tom's post in the Customer Pictures thread, and the long lanyard works better for this than the key strap extenders do. The cord attached to the lanyard isn't like what's shown in Tom's linked image; it's more like the cord shown in ratdeau's posted image in the thread on luggage cord pulls. Anyway, this is pretty neat. You can attach the cord end to the D-ring by the outside pocket of the ID bag and clip the lanyard head to the mini pouch. It all fits quite conveniently into the front pocket of the ID bag. This would work very well to use the mini pouch as a change purse for bus fare, for example, since it slips out of the pocket easily and the lanyard cord is long enough for you to pull the mini pouch away and get the change out while the ID bag is still on your shoulder. Very nice. (I thought I'd be using the lanyard more with the Lux bag, but it matches very well to the ID bag pockets and D-ring layout.)

Whoops, I meant to say that this works really well for the Imago! I've tried this, too with the ID bag, but I've got the classic design ID bag, and the front pocket layout is different from the present models. But the lanyards are REALLY convenient for mini pouches used with the Imago.

I just got my lanyard! At first I didn't really have an idea of how to use it, as I don't often carry my whistle and don't have to do too much digging in the Imago to get at my flashlight. Then I thought about the above post, and found the perfect use for the lanyard. I had been a little disappointed at the placement of the little D-rings in the Zephyr - when I wear the bag (on my right side) and hang my keys from the key strap clipped to the ring, the keys are at my rear, not at my front, and I have to adjust the bag in order to have my keys reach the keyhole. But! With this key strap extender idea, I attached the lanyard to the little D-ring, and then the key strap, and finally the keys to the keystrap - perfecto!

For clarification purposes, I received a 17" (18"?) lanyard, in a black and red/yellow pattern. While it works, bright blue and orange are wholeheartedly supported from this corner!
