    Really! You'll have to give us a full report.

    Tom is thinking of getting a laptop....either a 12" Powerbook or a 12" iBook. What do you think?

    Mmmmm laptop

    Now it's just MHO but I feel the 12" Powerbook is the best between the iBook and the Powerbook. The reason I ordered a 15" was that I wanted the back lit keyboard and the larger horsepower video card so I can power my Apple Display. Otherwise I would have gotten another 12" powerbook. They look great, fit on your lap, and feel fantastic to type on. I'm what you would call hee-ho sized and the 12" keyboard fit my hands just fine. And the new laptops are all most as good as having a desktop unit. 1.25gb ram max, up to an 80gb hard drive, and better video cards is always a good thing.

    The only drawback I can mention is the heat that it generates. When running on batts there is a LOT of heat comin' out of it and the aluminum conducts it well. A way to avoid it is to use a lapbottom. You can get them at www.macsales.com. They are great and will stop the powerbook from melting your leg!

    the new g4 15" powerbook

    we have a black/silver eclipse already for my husband's ibook, so i don't want to get exactly the same thing. i'm wondering if the eclipse comes in black/grape color that would fit my laptop. (a size 4?) if not right now, anytime soon? thks.

    We will have a limited quantity of the Size 4 Eclipse in the following colors: Black/Black, Black/Crimson, and Black/Silver

    These will be the last of the Size 4 Eclipses until Tom redesigns the product.

    So, no Grape - sorry! But the Charcoal is a very nice color....
