    Update on Solar Dyneema/nylon

The good news: we're introducing a new color of our Dyneema/nylon ultralight ripstop fabric sometime this summer. If you're a Solar fan, the not-so-good news is that the new color replaces Solar.

We only had enough Solar left to make a few Solar-lined bags for the next cut of the Synapse (that also meant we added new colors for pre-order: Indigo/Steel, Navy/Iberian and Olive/Steel.) The Synapse lined with Solar and any existing bags in Solar or lined with Solar are on their way to selling out for good.

We, of course, aren't going to tell you what the new color is just yet, but here's a hint: those of you who appreciated the brightness of Solar won't (we think) be disappointed.

Thank you for the heads up, Darcy. I'm glad I have a few Solar things. Solar looks so pretty in my Azalea bags. Perhaps the next color is orange? Or maybe a bright green? Can't wait to see it!

No! *cries!* It's not fair. So many things left unpurchased...I hope whatever replaces it is just as pretty. And totally not orange .

In the meantime, my best friend and I are totally freaking out on Twitter about what we're going to buy. It's actually kinda fun!

I second this sentiment. I currently have a navy/solar synapse, but can't wait to "upgrade" to a N/I one and gift my current one to a niece or nephew. I only wish I already had my N/I for next week since I'll be in Washington D.C. for a work trip and am taking the Synapse.

Well, I may have to order a few clear and dyneema pouches in solar. I don't have any solar.

I love the Solar, but with apologies to you, Gabe, I'd love to see something orangey.

Actually, I've made my peace with the loss of Solar. If it were for forever, it wouldn't be special. Plus, you know, I have a Western Flyer/Pouch/Ristretto/Smart Alec with the interior. And, honestly, as a lifelong resident of the Chicago area, and a soon-to-be UofI alum, I guess if it is orange, I could always get it with Navy. You know, for the Bears/Illini. Then I could pretend that I follow sports!

(Actually, a bright hunter's orange would be awesome. So would something along the lines of Wasabi. I bet it'll be something that goes well with Forest!)

Thanks for the heads-up, Darcy. I've been dragging my feet on the Steel/Solar Synapse--no more. I just got the "hurry up and finish your dissertation, already," email from my department, so this is well-timed retail therapy.
