They are happening. There's some other stuff that needs to be upgraded so that we can finish the forum upgrade. We hope it'll all be done by the end of the week.

There was another server software version conflict that has prevented the final steps of the forum upgrade. We're working on it! It's difficult getting all of these different systems to work with each other...

Just a quick update: we're still working on the forum upgrades. The software incompatibility issues haven't been as easy to solve as we thought they would be. We'll let you know once the upgrade is completed.

Thanks for the update. I feel your pain. Went thru something similar with a website recently (and am still working on the issue).

I'm so confused. Am I in the right place? Didn't there used to be a bar on that corner?

I'm not as impressed with the forum updates...

1: I was involuntarily logged off, and had to log-in for the first time in a very long time.

2: The lettering (and thus, the links) are smaller and therefore not as easy to click on.

3: I miss the link bar at the top of the forum pages. This provided easy links to multiple non-forum sections on the Bihn web-site, such as blog, accessories, travel bags, etc. This made navigation much quicker. Now you have to jump to the homepage and go from there. Inefficient.

All that having been said, it is nice that the "quick reply" pane at the bottom of each thread-page now offers more controls so it will be easier to add links, etc.

So I hope this forum change is a work in progress.

The upgrades/changes to the forums are a work in progress -- we'll continue, over the next few weeks, to refine the look of the forums, as well as add additional features. As you can tell from the dramatic difference in the look of the forums, this was a really big upgrade that required us to use entirely new forum templates. Apologies for any inconvenience that the upgrade caused -- we tried to minimize that as much as possible. In the long run, I think we can all look forward to forums that work better (keeping those pesky spammers out!) with added functionality. Thanks for the feedback!
