So, here's a dumb question. I had some people admiring my new Tom Bihn bag and the question came up, how do you pronounce "Bihn"?
Is it "Bin" or "Bean"? Or something else entirely?
Original designs. Made in the U.S.A.

In the United States we say "Bin". The original German pronounciation is more like "Bean".
Many people conclude I'm Vietnamese because Binh is a very common Vietnamese name, aber Ich bin ein Berliner. :(

Thanks, Tom ... much appreciated.
Although I'm a big fan of historical accuracy, I'll stick with common American practice. If someone says "Hey, cool bag!!" to me and I proudly tell them that it's my new "Bean Bag", they'll think I'm nuts. If I instead say it's it's my new "Bin Bag", they'll say "Wow. What's that? Where can I get one?".
Much more satisfying all around .... ;)
