Newspaper pocket on back of Ego

So I've had my Ego for about 3 months now, and it still is holding everything I need to. The one problem, however, seems to be the sleeve pocket / newspaper pocket on the back. Whereas the front of the pocket is the sturdier silky nylon used on the front of the bag, the inside of the pocket is rough and scratchy (Cordura?) and is starting to fuzz and wrinkle simply from being carried against my body all day (it also picks up lint like none other). Can I treat this part of the fabric or something to keep it from looking so shoddy and degrading so quickly? It seems a shame that whole pocket isn't nylon; it's the only part of the bag I really don't care for. Thanks for any ideas.

I was annoyed by this as well, but it doesn't bother me much anymore. This was only an issue when I left my bag on the ground and my dog got hair all over it, or if I wore a fuzzy sweater. Now that I don't do those things, it's not really an issue. When I do need to clean it, I find a lint roller to be the quickest and easiest thing to do. I've heard other people rub a dryer sheet on it. Hope that helps. Not sure about treating the fabric, though, sorry.

I've alerted Tom to this post: he appreciates the feedback and will consider this in future versions of the Ego and Super Ego.

It's unlikely that the fabric is actually degrading: we've made exteriors with that fabric (Cordura) for years and it doesn't wear out. But we can imagine how it can look shabby with lots of fuzz or hair on it!

As for what you can do, judge's feedback is useful: use a lint roller. I've also heard that some folks use dryer sheets.

Yeah, I've been using a lint roller. Will try dryer sheets to see if they work any better.
