Imago and pen pockets?

I was just wondering: is there a reason why the Imago doesn't have pen/pencil pockets like the Cafe bags do?

I asked Tom this question, and he said he felt there was never a great place to put them.

I usually just slide the pen clip over the edge of the organizer pocket in the Imago.
