I don't care for the idea of a clear Velcro closure patch permanently sewn
into TB gear.
Why?
B/c in many parts of the world you don't want people to know you're an
American. In fact, many travelers take off the labels off their gear.
Have you ever notice that Canadians often sew their flag into their
luggage. Smart!
Indeed....there have been many times when I was traveling that I wished I could pass for a Kiwi or Canadian...individual people have always been kind to me as a traveler but it is clear that not everybody (including me) sees the U.S. as a friendly beacon of freedom. Sadly, much damage has been done over the past 7 years that will take generations to recover from. Anybody know where I can get a maple leaf to sew on my bag?
Google "flag patches" to obtain all sorts and sizes of international flags.
Darcy - It's been quite a while since there were any new information about logo luggage tags. Is this still something that is being considered/worked on?
I would love that idea! The thing I don't like about the luggage tags that you have to write on is that if you move, or want to use a different addy on it for some reason, the tag can't be changed! I only use luggage tags that allow you to slide a card inside it with your info. The clear organizer pouch would be perfect (maybe with the size adjusted a little.) If it was clear on one side you could use all sorts of awesome bright colors on the reverse, which would make it tons easier for someone to recognize which black bag is theirs! LOL!
