    Dyneema umbrella?

Lots of rain lately in South Florida
Would be nice to have a durable, lightweight umbrella
Dyneema is strong enough for sails, how would it do in a rainstorm?
Tom Bihn quality stitching and reinforcement would make it last.
    Just a thought....

I think it's a great idea, actually. Solar would be perfect; it' a shame it's gone :-(

Add wind vents (Texas is gusty!) and I'm in.

The compact size would be best for most to stick in a bigger purse or in the side pouches of a car door.
