smart alec colors

So I like the bags, and I like the tag... :)

But I have a couple questions ... is the Smart Alec really going to work on the smaller-than-average bear? (I'm 5 ft. with my shoes on). Plus I have a very short torso and I'm worried about how long the bag is.

Also, the grape color seems awfully purple-y. Is there any way to get it in plum? I'd like the darker color.

I've seen people who are 5'2" or so wear it and it looks fine on them. I think it comes down to personal preference.

The Smart Alec is only available in the four colors listed. The Grape is rather purple, although it's not super bright. Crimson is definitely the most popular color.
