Take a look. :-)

Thanks for the info, Darcy!
My older Brain Bag seemed to have a thicker internal coating that looked waterproof, but which is missing in the newer Brain Bag.
Can someone confirm if the Brain Bag used to be more waterproof in...
Yes, I'm sure you talk just like that all the time. ;)
It's funny though - I searched some more, and did indeed find some references to hum/hah on British sites, but hem/haw still seems to be the...
I think most people say "hem and haw" don't they? I just looked it up and there are lots of regional and historical variants, but I've never heard "hum and hah" - where'd you get that from, if you...
Did you do the same with the brain bag? I noticed my new brain bag seemed to have stiffer shoulder straps than my 4 year old one, but I thought that was due to wear and not a design change.

Ahh thanks! I honestly couldn't guess it!
LS? Light sabre? Little sicko? Large sandwich?
Actually, I happen to know that Tom is constructed of plastic and Made In China. ;)

I think she wants to put the jacket in the stuff sack, not put a stuff sack in the jacket pocket. :)
This is a silly question, but i always wonder - when ordering stuff from companies that have to produce a lot of various items in the run up to Christmas in order to meet demand, if it is better to...
Sleep mask. :)
Eye patch? Is that for those times you just gotta let your inner pirate out? ;)
Hee! That describes what I do exactly! Many's the time I've felt like a penguin. :)
Hey! None of MY bags have external pickets! ;)
I guess it's a bit less messy in our San Francisco subways. ;) I lived in Boston years ago, but can't remember what the floors in the T were like - I was mostly on the Red Line.

I take mine on the subway, and I position it on the ground between my legs. If you don't mind doing that, it works well.
But... but then they'll have bad breath... :D

I like it, but it IS a bit too purple for me. Dark Burgundy is a bit more conservative. :)

Ahhh, nevermind - I see that these are mentioned in some of the reviews: First Take: Tom Bihn Aeronaut travel bag
So they ARE unsnappable - good to know. I'd still worry that the snaps would tear...
I just received my new Aeronaut, and I'm a little bit confused. In the main compartment, there are 4 tabs that pull the sides towards the center of the inside, attached with what look like metal...
Hey folks...
I was wondering if Tom Bihn might ever come out with external fabrics in a kind of "Dark Burgundy" color. It's one of my favorites that still has a "manly" feel, but isn't black. ...
I'm going to copy from my other thread in Bag Reviews, since nobody answered it over there (and it's more a question than just a review). Perhaps someone can tell me their opinion here. I'll modify...
Well, I ended up just ordering the Aeronaut (Black/Iberian, though I think Black/Steel would show less dirt - I'm being flashy (for me) this time 'round :-) ) and associated packing cubes n' such. ...
