Why not check out a cache? I have a 11.6 inch ultrabook that came with it's own case. I use that, but I have brought the laptop to the TB store and found a cache that fits it perfectly.

I use mine for a first aid kit, eye glass cleaning kit, and micro organizer with smaller EDC items in it.

I got my wife a Cocoa/Wasabi. She loves it!

The Moleskine in the size you asked about does not fit. It goes in, but will not zip shut.

I will try it tonight and let you know.

I believe the iPad mini is slightly wider so it might fit? The Nexus 7 I have fit with the case on it.

I love my Synapse, use it every day for work. Great bag. I spent several days changing things around inside the bag until I had the perfect configuration.

Just got mine in Navy/Cayenne...love it. My wife has the MCB. Perfect for running around town.

It was Thursday, but we were in town Friday too. And my wife was using her cocoa MCB. She loves that bag.

1 hour wait! It was worth it for the experience, but I wouldn't stand in line that long again for doughnuts. They were excellent however!

I have the Synapse and use it every day. Carry similar stuff that you describe. If you need a little more room, might wait for the larger version or get the Smart Alec?
