I can, and do fit a pair or Loake Oxfords in size UK 12 (US13) in half of the front of a Western Flyer and the smaller part of the front of the front of a Tri Star. I've put other size 12s(UK) in there too, but the Loake's are especially big. Equally the end pocket of an Aeronaut will hold them too.

Mind you, fitting in my wife's size seven heels (in their box!) meant we had to take the Tri Star instead of the WF as she needed the extra space of the two-thirds half! That made fitting my shoes a little tighter (the WF pockets are larger), but they still fit!

I agree--I wear size 10 and the ability to fit the shoes into the WF or TS depends heavily on the design of the shoes. Stiff leather dress or casual shoes = hard to fit. Soft, pliable flat shoes = easier to fit. I've never been able to fit any 3/4 or taller boots in either a TS or WF; it takes an Aeronaut to pull that off.
