Smart Alec or Synapse, trying to decide
I'm looking at the Smart Alec or Synapse for an EDC and I can't quite decide. My packout is more or less standard, so perhaps someone has advice:
Macbook Pro 13", though I'm carrying my Nexus 7 more often now
Leaterman Skeletool and sharpener
Large Levenger notebook where I'll put anything loose leaf
Sennheiser HD 280 headphones (best you can buy for less than $100)
phone charger, usb drive and a multi charging cable (phone's usually in my pocket)
some pens and pencils
sometimes a book or two or CDs from the library
a sweater or jacket
in the winter my shoes (vivobarefoots, so not too bulky)
sometimes an Olympus E-PL1
I'm using an Osprey 22 right now and it's fine, but it doesn't seem to fit everything due to the odd long shape sort of cutting off the top few inches of the pack. It also doesn't carry the laptop or books very well as they sit sort of heavy in the bottom and dig into my back. It also doesn't sit correctly, it's floppy and falls over and the back bends when not full. I read that's an issue with the Smart Alec as well.
So, any thoughts would be appreciated.
P.S. Any advice on a pouch for my Sennheiser HD 280?
