Wink I Might Need a Cafe Bag or Imago

As I impatiently await my first TB order to arrive I find myself perusing the TB products pages and daydreaming about my next order. I'm going to hold off a while (if I can make myself), especially since my first order hasn't even arrived yet, but I have a couple of questions for those of you with Cafe Bags and/or Imagos.

I'm looking for something that would be good for carrying around a water bottle (16 oz. or so), iPhone, charger for my phone, wallet (not too large and I'm thinking of buying a Clear Organizer Wallet instead of what I currently have), and a book or two. Ideally I would like to have a little room left over for a snack or some unforeseen object. It would be nice if I could fit a folder or spiral bound notebook as well, but I'd guess that in order to get the right dimensions I would probably need something with more space than I actually need. So, the question is, what do you think would work best for my needs: S, M, or L Cafe Bag or an Imago? I'm not really drawn to the swift, but it's possible that I could be persuaded if someone has a particularly compelling reason.

Also, can anyone post a picture of the MCB in storm/steel and any of the Cafe Bags in conifer/steel (preferably with the front flap turned up a little so I can see the interior color with the exterior color)? I would really appreciate it. I'm particularly trying to get a better sense for exactly what shade green the conifer is.

Yeb90, Large and Small Cafe Bag(s) owner here.

I took the liberty to cut your post as it look perfect to add real life experience after your comments.

Without the water bottle you could use a Small Cafe Bag.

With the water bottle I think you need a Medium Cafe Bag.

I assume the folder and spiral notebook are letter size so I think a Medium Cafe Bag will be the right size.

I personally go really minimalist with the Small Cafe Bag or all out with the Large.

The Large Cafe Bag has the Absolute Strap as an option and it is the best shoulder strap I ever owned, hands down.

I use the Large Cafe Bag as my personal item while flying domestic.
It is great cross shoulder to get in line and stuff any extra that has to be removed before security like a hat, or scarve or gloves or a pack of tissues.
It is perfect for buying drinks and snacks, believe me I tried with a "regular" purse.

It molds to the body and really feel lightweight even packed to the gill.

It is great for commuting on public transport and a lifesaver when traveling by car, everything is at one's fingertip: toll change, maps...

The Swift is also great, I have paired it with the Large Cafe Bag but it is not necessary.

With the Swift you can see everything inside the bag, it is more "purse" like, I know that all your things are going to fit because I used to take 2 16 oz bottles,, roughly what your transport as well as a large size cardigan, a wind breaker, Yarn Stuff Sack and sometimes a thick hardcover book and a Large Organizer Pouch full of paperwork and letter size notepad.

Conifer is a forest green, similar to Pantone® 3302.

Your best bet is to go to an art store and check that color or you could order a Medium Ballistic Organizer Pouches: TOM BIHN in Conifer.

@yeb90 darbs posted a picture of her medium cafe bag in storm in the http://www.tombihn.com/forums/custom...ame-today.html thread. (It's in the box, so you can't see the inside lining, though.). You can also read this thread For more discussion about storm. I agree with backpack that a medium cafe bag sounds as though it would suit your requirements.

    Storm/Steel

Here is my MCB in Storm/Steel. I absolutely LOVE the color combination. I debated back and forth and don't regret it one bit!

It actually shows up in this picture a little lighter than it is in person...at least to me. The blue is definitely a stormy blue, not baby blue or even robin's egg blue.

Thanks, darbs. And yes, I think the color shows up a bit lighter here than it looks in person, or in comparison with your earlier picture (linked above), or in the blog post about storm.

@yeb90 Take a look at the other photo darbs also posted of her bag.

Thanks darbs for posting the picture and moriond for the links. And backpack, thank you for the detailed response. I like how you cut my post. Storm seems like a beautiful color and it appears that the MCB is the perfect size for my needs. I'll probably hold off ordering until my first order arrives and I decide exactly what's staying, but I think it's very likely that before long I will be the proud owner of a storm/steel MCB.
