Maybe they've gone with a slightly thinner paracord, maybe? If it's thick enough it should stay put really well.
Well, I intend to remelt the ends, once I find my lighter. (I don't smoke, so I keep losing it . . . it's a pretty four-leaf-clover decorated Zippo. Maybe I should just get a cheap Bic one and then I'll find the pretty one! I do need to be able to light the mosquito repelling things soon.) But it's interesting that this hasn't happened on previous bags, maybe there is something different in the new assemblies.
