Backorder/when is charge put through?

Very simple question. If you order a bag that is on backorder, when are you charged for it on a credit card?

I don't want to speak for TB, but from my experience they only charge you once it is shipped.

This is correct, however, an authorization charge may show up on your card originally. Each bank handles authorizations differently, some may take it out of your available balance and show a pending charge, some may show a "charge" that will later disappear. We do not actually charge your card until the order ships out
