In my never ending quest to find the best messenger bag for leisure travel......I'd like to know how easy would it be for me to add my own shoulder strap to the Large Cafe Bag? The one that comes with it would be slightly too short for me. I'm thinking of getting a Carrysafe 200 strap (for security purposes) and want to clip it on to the Large Cafe Bag. Could I do this? (The Carrysafe 200 has screw-type carabiners at the end to attach securely to a bag.)

while the large cafe bag will take any 1.5" shoulder strap (including the Q-AM shoulder strap and absolute shoulder strap), i'm not sure how well it will do with the carrysafe 200, as it doesn't appear to be quite that wide. the carrysafe 200 also appears to have snap hooks that would look for d-rings to attach to a bag. the large cafe bag is designed to take straps in the toothed slides on the side, the way a messenger bag would traditionally take a strap.
