Burnt Orange Is the New Black
So says Chester Cheetah/ TB box art! Note Chester is sporting a Burnt Orange S25. I'm super friendly with my UPS driver and he shook his head (in a good way) when he gave me my package. Darcy, please thank whoever drew this for me!
Being an orange-freak, I knew Iíd love burnt orange cordura the second Darcy unveiled it. Plus, orange and gray is my favorite orange color combo.
Hereís a picture of the S25 with other orange things I had in my room. The only colors I would consider burnt orange are the S25, my Lipualt roller, and my reusable shopping bag that is in front of the roller on the left.
S25 and my mini TB haul I got last week: a black/steel SE and black travel tray. Iím not too enamored by the travel tray. Itís a lot larger than what I need and I donít really like the feel of 400d dyneema.
Some thoughts on the S25:
- I do not have a problem with the straps being too widely set apart. Iím very narrow in the shoulders Ė about 14.5- 15 inches Ė so this was a slight concern when I purchased it. The pack doesnít move off my shoulders at all; in fact, Iím going to remove the chest strap because I find it unnecessary and needlessly in my way.
- I got the S25 primarily as a travel bag. I was waiting on the debut of the A30 to decide between the two, but Burnt Orange won me over. I practiced packed the S25 for a 3 day trip Iím taking next month. Although I knew everything would fit, I didnít know how bulky the S25 would be because Iím not a lightweight packer by any means. It looks a lot less bulky than my old Brain Bag sized LL Bean backpack I just gave away. If Iím more judicious with what I pack, I could easily pack the S25 for 7+ days.
