    My Very Own Western Flyer

It arrived today! The UPS man callously threw it on the front porch while I was out, but thankfully the thieves weren't around to steal the precious.

One of us is ready to roll:

I've got the beginnings of a nice little collection! The problem is that I like the aubergine color so much, that I think I need the Imago that matches. It will look so much snazzier than my black Smart Alec. I just wish I knew what they were replacing it with, because what if I end up needing that more? SO MANY CHOICES.

So where do you plan to take the Roving Gnome or rather the Western Flyer?

    It is gorgeous!

Our first trip will be a boring two days in Columbus for work, followed by a mini break in NYC next month for a weekend. That'll be a piece of cake.

I'm reallllly looking forward to trying to use her (apparently my luggage has a gender) for next year's vacation to Paris (with a stop in London, of course). Can't wait to see how much I can cram into this bag.

I have purple luggage! It is so PURDY; and the wasabi interior is a perfect contrast!! OMGerd. I love it so hard.

P.S. My roaming gnome is smiling, even though he hasn't had any legs since the unfortunate collapsing mantle incident of early June. Such a trooper, that one.

I think the aubergine Imago would be a great match to your WF, especially with the hemp contrast. I stuff a lot into my forest/cork Imago and pair it with the navy/solar Synapse 25 when traveling or use it as an EDC when I like a change from the Nordic/violet MCB. This is what I'm currently carrying around with it and that is not at full capacity.

    Holy pouches, Batman! Lol.

What's funny (to me) is that I initially didn't like the Imago at all (I wasn't feeling the two-tone front). Then it grew on me and I now love it. Also, as I mentioned, it would look snazzy with the WF.

I can't recommend the aubergine Imago enough! It's my EDC these days. Totally stuffable. And like you, I wasn't sure if I liked it at first. I bought a steel/cork Imago and returned it, and a year later, bought the aubergine/hemp one. I finally figured out how I wanted to carry my items in there, and now it's one of my favorite bags. I would grab one if I were you, because you'll never forgive yourself if they sell the last one and you're out of luck. That's happened to me a couple of times, and the disappointment and irritation at yourself doesn't go away!

@pegolas Agree with dwright17 here. When you were posting about items to go with your Aubergine WF, I thought of the Imago in Aubergine/Hemp and also of the Aubergine and/or Hemp Swifts and Little Swifts. I can't believe how fast all those items have been selling out, A week ago there were still some Little Swift options, and day by day they dwindled to nothing, and most of the Swifts are back-ordered. This was like watching all the Small Cafe bag options disappear. The Clear Organizer Wallet color options have also been going, but the Aubergine is available for back order, and Vulcana Hemp is available. Call up and make sure the bags you want are in stock, and ask about the pouch color options while you are on the line.

I personally like to use the Q-AM strap with my Imago, because the long padded strap distributes weight very comfortably when you use a cross-body carry, but this is an individual preference. Also, you'll have to play with the initial strap setup before you find out how ant of these work for you.

After reading this thread and pondering the purchase of an additional Imago in aubergine for months, I also made a purchase yesterday! I was worried that the aubergine bag would be sold out when at last I got around to justifying it! Maybe it will be here tomorrow....I love the color combination, especially for winter wear. It will be my carry for Spanish classes.

I'm so excited for all of you! I didn't regret my purchase at all. It looks great with work clothes or with jeans, and I've got all the organization figured out. i have a matching pen/pencil case (oooo, did everybody get that, too?) and a matching small case, plus a wasabi medium case (nice contrast).

Here's how my bag is organized:
Side zipper pockets - very small, so my iPhone charger is in one and my car keys are in the other. Quick access is great.
Front slide in pocket - I keep my phone there, plus my door fob to get into my work office on a 16" keychain. Absolutely great for fishing out the long strap and swiping the lock pad.
Front zipper pocket - small toiletries, like nail clipper and file, fold-up hair brush, lipstick and eyedrops. Perfect size for the necessities.
Inside pouch pockets - business card case, sunglasses, work badge, wallet (on a strap), pouch pocket (on a strap, holds punch cards for lunch places, etc), cork pouch (for extra cards, coupons, etc and of course on a strap).
Main pocket - plenty of room for my iPad, folders, and accordion folders for bulkier items. I can also fit a folded up sweater in it when needed. I also throw in a fold-up extra reusable bag when I need it (like the small shop bag, or sometimes a small sil bag)
Outside pocket in the back - metro map, various items that I pull in and out between work
And an absolute strap is an absolute must for any bag, in my opinion!

Enjoy, everyone! Hope this helps for when you get your bag and wonder how to organize it!

I LOVE to hear how others organize their carries. I own one already in green/cork/steel. It's a lot of bag for me as an EDC, however, I am retired so do not usually have the EDC needs working folks have. I will likely stuff my Side Effect into it, my ipad mini, notebooks, folders, pencil pouch for Spanish classes, probably even a sweater as the classrooms are cold. As the dark winter comes barreling toward us, in it will go hat, gloves, flashlights, travel umbrella, etc. I'm with you, this puppy fully loaded needs an Absolute Strap and I have one on order with my new Imago.
